Baby's First Job!

So I got my first official job!
I teach little kids ....stuff.. from 2-6pm and it takes two trains to get to my work. I am changing colors because I'm in the sun all day. Even my arm hair is getting bleached. I have this strange energy when I get home of crazy energized exhausted. I'm staying up late to watch the cosby show...
I love the cosby show. I was just imagining how amazing it would be if Bill Cosby did the Vagina Monologues...

Hello my name is Molly, and I am a closeted OKGo fan.
I can't help it, I loved them since the first albun hit stands when I was jr. high and I can't resist keyboards, flowers, performance art-like music videos and chicago.
So last month Sasha was iming me and mentioned OKGo was going to be at pepperdine and so I totally bought tickets. I decided as a birthday present I would embrace my inner teenie bopper and I brought tiana to tag along.
So last frinday, even though it took a bazillion years to get there, me and tiana went to the okgo show with cavil at rest and augustana as the opening bands. We got free in and out and got to eat looking at the ocean, it almost made me jealous that I didn't apply to a campus so beautiful then i met a few of the douches that go to school there and those feelings melted away. Then we got into the area where the show was going to be held and we witnessed....

There were some other girls standing in awe of them so they took our picture infront of them:

So in order to fulfill the OKGo portipotty expirence me and tiana hand to actually pee in the portipotty.
We ended up peeing next to the guy from cavil at rest...picture will come later. It was really funny because we were standing infront of a bunch of open portipotties when he strolled up and looked at us in a really confused way.

Then me and tiana waited around for the show to start and laughed at "Opperation sasha Re-lationship". This just basically involved me and tiana hoping that sasha and his ex would get back together through the power of infectious pop music.

Cavil at rest performed. They were cute they had drums and harmony. I gave them all nick names.

So in between acts they kept playing the Fray....and me and tiana nearly killed ourselves. We listened to the same goddamned song played over and over at lest 6 times and all those stupid malibu barbie girls kept singing along, it was grossss. That really was a hideous crowd, it was full of jocks and creepy fans from the midwest, eharmony. com looking gay guys and even the malibu barbies were disappointing and icky. The one remotely attractive person there looked like my old painting teacher :<embed width="430" height="389" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://vidmg.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vidmg.photobucket.com/albums/v13/cramboggel/chicago054.flv"></embed>. But he was there with his girl friend so no awkward Freudian stories arose out of that.

Augustana played next.
They blew. The singer was pretty and that was the only reason anyone would ever care about them.
He sang really high and would talk really low and muffled. After he would complete a sentence I would scream "mumble mumble mumble" at the stage and hide behind tiana. She got really embarresed but it was funny. He also refused to open his eyes.

We laughed when everyone sang along to this song:

FINALLY OKGO PLAYED.
I swear to god, as soon as they played what started out as a small show transformed into mass mania. A million girls started charging forward and pushing to get to where me and tiana were but there was no space to go so it was really ridiculous...yet crazy fun. I think i was lifted off the ground like 12 times

HoweverAfter a few songs they CAME INTO THE AUDIENCE! I touched Damian Kulash....and Tiana pinched his ass. They played in the center of the crowd, which ment since me and T-bird were four rows in and in the center all we could see the tops of the heads.

After we went back, these aggressive gay guys were fighting to get the front. They literally were doing tug of war infront of tiana's boobs. I got caught in so many manwichs and got goosed even more times because i had the best standing space ever. However since me and tiana have all this repressed art chick anger we stood our ground and kicked pepperdine ass.

Then Damian crowd surfed and it was really weird because he was right over me. One of the first times I didn't feel uncomfortable while someone sang to me (this is seriously a problem i am trying to get over). I tried to steal his broach, but couldn't quite reach.

It ended with an elo cover and ricky martin inflatable things

Afterwards I bought a tshirt and talked to Cavil at Rest who were really nice.
Tiana thought portipotty guy (Ryan) was cute

and took a picture with him.

I just wanted a picture with portipotty guy.
Because after all we both have been inside okgo....'s portipotty.

All in all it was a fun night filled with screaming teenage girls and aggresive shoving.

The only problem was that I broke my favoirte headband

So I got a Distinguished Scholars merit scholarship today from school of the art institute of chicago today. For 8,000 smackers. Uhh I'm not sure if that was for my art or for being smart (haha right).

But really there are four scholarships for Merit:
chairman-free ride
presidential- 1200
recognition- 6000
incentive- 3000
scholar enrichment- 2000

Sooo confusing... maybe it's a combo like recognition + scholar = distinguished scholar 8000. Maybe they pulled the title out of their ass just to confuse me.

SVA hates me, they are giving me the "chance" to take a loan + work study. Whatever, I would probably slit my wrists there 1st semester anyways.

OMG Craziest news of the day *****I saw Sasha on TV on the news**** I nearly laughed my ass off. I replayed it on TiVo for like 5 minutes because he was walking with these other eeps and it was only half of his body was on the screen and I didn't believe it.

Dude I went to Demetri martin's show it was awesome here is how it went down. I wrote a lot because I'm such a girl...The actually meeting is towards the end...and it's amazing.

A good way to start a conversation is to ask someone “What’s your favorite color,”

A bad way to end a conversation is to ask “What’s your favorite color of person”.

So I went to go see Demetri Martin’s Show These are Jokes and it was super amazing.

I took Tiana to go see it with me because her birthday is today and I’d figured everyone loves Demetri Martin, he can be her birthday present.

Anyways it was a really great show, it started off with this other comedian Leo Allen, who made me laugh so much that I was nearly worn out by the time Demetri Martin showed up. Demetri did so many different things on stage it felt more like a new genres project with a sense of humor than a comedy act. He started off his show with a narrated cartoon, did his note pad sketch ( he got an amazing new pointer), hackling the audience, showed a slide projection of some drawings while playing harmonica and piano, did a confessional while playing guitar, and foot bells. He managed to all this crap on the world’s smallest stage it was really quiet a feat.

So after the show I bought a shirt (or my dad bought it) and we all went in to this creepy alley to go meet demetri. I felt so bad for him he had to talk to some CRAZY motherfuckers, and I could see the glazed over scared look a few times when this old lady was like feeling him up (can’t say I blame her). There was also a fleet of pre teen boys who all had his haircut but that was super cute, he was really sweet with everyone and gave everyone their personal time.

Finally it was me and Tiana’s time to meet him and he thought it was cute that we both had a polka dotted theme going on. I said “Hey I know you can’t sign the shirts because of the whole, black t-shirt deal….” And he said something like “yeah…I know ehh”

So I asked him to sign my expired drivers permit. So he started drawing this car and wrote for this with an arrow pointing up to it and realized that it said “AGE 21 IN 2010,” and though that was really funny so he boxed it up and put a sun on it. I don’t think he heard me say “Wait for me babe,” or see the sleezy pointing, which is probably a good thing. Then I took my picture with him and asked him if I could take a picture of my dad sitting on his lap like a reverse santa thing and he was totally up for it. My dad got the most action because at first he rested his hand in my dad’s lap until my dad said “HEY WATCH IT MISTER,”. Tiana then told Demetri about it being her birthday and he was her present and he wished her a happy birthday. Then she had him sign the world’s smallest envelope. He wrote on it “Small envelope for a hair.” We all secretly wished he put one of his hairs in it but whatev. In the end two polka dotted girls and santa walked off feeling quiet happy about their Demetri martin experience.
